Step by Step learning guide for Hadoop

Just as I was frustrated and disappointed with the training I attended with Bigdata training academny in chennai, I decided to publish best sites and reference materials for Hadoop that I come across.

Atleast this way I can be of some help for the "to be"  Hadoop aspirants and professionals so that won't waste their money in cheap institutes like the Bigdata training 

I aim my blog to be one stop shop for learning Bigdata Apache Hadoop, PIG and Hbase ,,,

Also as and when time permits , I will also create tuorials for hadoop, pig and hbase and publish them.

First at the beginner level and then to advaned level

BigData Training- @ Chennai - BigCHEATNG

I recently attended Bigdata training conducted  by a training institue in chennai http://www.bigdatatraining.in/. I paid around Rs 25000/-  just for 5 days. The course was "Bigdata Architect training" in Apache Hadoop and ecosystem
My feedback about the training is I was deeply disappointed to say the least . Following are the reasons

1. All they taught me is how to download the software from apache website and install Apache hadoop and PIG./// Nothing more ..[ok some linux commands extra]
2. If we ask them any questions, the response is "We should explore by ourselves" [ I don;t know why I have to pay someone Rs 25000/ if o have to explore it myself]
3. The theory class was supposed to start 10 AM and finish by 3 pm . This will be followed by practical class. In reality , the faculty/ instructor[ ironically he is the founder] will come by 1:35 PM and leave by 1:55 pm. In that 20 minutes all he taught was to download and install/  [Sadly the course was called as "Architect" that is different from installing]
4. Finally the group mix , there were freshers. They  joined the course because they were told they will get the job soon after attending the course  Sadly those freshers didn;t even know basic Linux or what database means....

The founder , just for the sake of making big  money in short time cheated everyone by luring with false promises


I would not advise anyone be it a fresher or a DW or BI profeession to join this course .. There are wonderful books available ... You can read them and learn a lot rather than wasting money in such cheap institutes
